KMA Summer Math Session 1B (Invite Only)

The focus of this session will be responding to Day 1 through structured planning and resource selection. Curriculum Specialist will constructively guide teachers as they evaluate relevant materials and plan for implementation.
Day 2: Structured Vertical Planning with Specialist Support
  • Aligning Tasks to Curriculum Maps and Instructional Materials
  • Selection and Design Support w/ Content Specialist 
*This will provide an instructional foundation the work ahead with McREL

Day 1-Strategies For Teachers To Help Leverage The Learning Of Second Language Learners (Invite Only)

Attendees will walk out of the session with strategies to implement on day one in their classroom that will engage all learners and specifically help the learning of second-language learners. Incorporating evidence-based insights from the science of teaching and learning, our resources and professional learning services provide classroom teachers and English learner (EL) specialists with strategies and tools to effectively guide their students through each stage of language acquisition on their journey toward fluency.
By aligning instructional practices with research and blending professional wisdom with real world experience, McREL can help you build your students’ resiliency, close achievement gaps, and sustain and honor their home languages and cultures while also increasing their multilingual fluency.
